It is Geometry Dash's 10th anniversary today. Man, that's crazy.
I WAS THERE WHEN THEY WERE MAKING SLOPE STACKS TO USE AS TELEPORTERS
I personally am not much of a gamer, maybe I'd play a couple random games here and there, mostly basic stuff like Minecraft. But Geometry Dash has always stuck around. Mind you, I'm not even that good at it, but I generally just really like the game, and have enjoyed seeing the community evolve.
One thing I'll say is that if you ever need name inspiration for literally anything, be it a song or art piece or if you need to draw some lettering, or even character names, Geometry Dash is the place to go.
When I was younger and would make comics all the time, and literally almost every setting, character and name of something would be something from Geometry Dash. Some settings were even based off the artistic atmosphere and aesthetic of some levels. Weird but true.
It sometimes slightly miffed that it's not as mainstream as other games, because the content and community is enourmous and super diverse. Seriously, some of these levels have to be the some of the hardest things in all of gaming. Not to mention the level creation mechanics can be used to achieve a ton of really incredible things,
as well as the programming of the game is actually impressive and complicated.
But I guess I should be glad it is where it is because we don't want to be mixed in with the wrong crowds.
All in all, it's just an insane game that has evolved MASSIVELY over the last 10 years in every concievable way.
Probably the thing I like the best about it is that, by the way it is designed, there is literally infinite possibility with what you can do with it. The sort of base model that makes up the creative parts of the game can be used in any way you can think of, and since the editor is expanded in every update, there is literally no limit to the vast, booming, colourful space which can be utilized with it.
